You're right! I had to experiment with a few QRs til I found one wide enough to sit across the slot. It's a rubbish design, sadly. I'm thinking about taking a round file to the dropouts, to give them a slight forward 'dimple' for the axle to sit in. I'm also after a pair of Cannondale Coda QRs...
