Cheers mate 😍😍
Yes the kit has loads of specific bolts / nuts including mech hanger and jockey wheel bolts. The kits are period NOS, so expect some retro tax. This is the seller I got mine from who has some different colours in stock - https://ebay.us/m/rcd5Di
Love finding old team bike photos for reference 😍
Vario team rider Carole Grange at the 1994 European DH championships in Metabief, France where she finished P9.
As with my bike her team bike is running the MTB Diffusion decal on the head tube, the Vario team issue riser bars, anodised silver...
A couple more sponsor decals added
Now just to work out where the Hope & MTB Diffusion decals will look best in order to give a nod to Dola’s team bikes.
A bit of an update…
I managed to source a new stem for the build as in my opinion the original stem just looked wrong with the black seat post. The stem I sourced is an Answer ATAC quill stem with more rise than the original that makes it look a little more “DH” that I have had refinished to...
So a little bit of an update on the build…
I had Retro Decals make me some correct 1995 Mavic decals and custom sized to replicate the Mavic decals on Dola’s team bike.
I’ve also started adding some sponsor decals on the swing arm.
Have decided to go with black gear and brake outer...
Unfortunately no updates at the moment due to having little to no spare time due to getting ready for the imminent start on our new house build.
Will get back to the Vario as soon as possible 👍
Is there any provenance supporting that it is a co-factory frame as from what you’ve said in the listing is that the modifications were done in someone’s shed / workshop as opposed to by the Sunn factory
Thank you for the information.
That’s a shame that the frame has been messed with, is not in its original form, has been repainted and isn’t a co-factory frame.
@Jben lovely bike, but has the frame been repaired / re-welded as I am struggling to find a matching model or team bike with this extra part welded within the frame?
