    The wheels and front bars/stem appear to be later additions, I think it's probably 1930s and would likely have had a Cyclo rear derailleur. The wheels don't look like tandem spec though.

    I finally built it - into a clunker!

    Some good info there, thanks for that Elva. Pictures of yours would be appreciated. I've made a few changes to mine, (bars, stem, saddle, cables, brake blocks and tyres) as I was neiher happy with it nor comfy on it! See the pics below for its current configuration.

    I doubt very much that GB factory drilled their stems for c/pull wires, more likely that Fred in the Shed did them! GB catalogues don't show the option of drilled stems.
