I did think of adding my spare trike conversion axel . To my tadpole trike , for a laugh . I was unsure what to call it , I think " bloody useless" would cover it .

View attachment 1019557 A Sachs Orbit rear hub was used on my Newton " Tadpole " trike . The hub had a brake drum , 2 speed internal gear and 6 speed Cassette . clever stuff but so heavy it had its own gravitational pull . lol

I don't know, but the wheel was very heavy. I did fit it with a Heavy schawalbe marathon tyre . As it was . A reet PIA to disconnect the brake torque arm, brake cable , hub gear connector and undo the bolts on the axel . The trike would not be a lot heavier than a Delta trike if if was fitted with a conventional, caliper brake , and no internal hub gears . But that one was designed as a shopping, low mileage trike . The brakes are fantastic and it is very easy to place through tight spots . Most cyclists and non cyclists, new to trike find a tadpole easier to ride than a Delta to begin with.
