Anyone into classic furniture

You guys have got glass ducks, I'm with the carved swallows IMG_20251113_084249.webp

The room divider is made of old chemistry lab doors and drawers from a Bristol school, (so victorian) and 300yo oak from the old roof trusses.

I used the same in the kitchen.

The "window" is a glass washboard found in a derelict house in the forest of Dean.
The bottles were found in the garden.

So I've got some modernist pieces but a fair amount of repurposing in my home decor.

Some great stuff here, love that hefty coffee table @MattiThundrrr !

I often think the most interesting pieces are the unknowns - I picked up this garden chair from Gumtree, the house was a large detached 60s modern beauty on the Dulwich estate, the seller told me his mum had bought it in the 60s (along with a stool and table to match) probably from Heals and liked it so much that it never made it outside and lived as her ‘phone chair’. The chair was £3 and the stool and table £2 each, madness. Would love to know who designed made/them. I will probably keep this in the shed over winter to give it a chance of lasting another 50 years.

The second photo is my real passion, Whitefriars glass from the 60s and 70s. Been collecting this for 30 years and have far too much around the house

A friend of the family is an avid glass collector, it's a real knack being able to spot the good stuff.
I walked around some shops in Hayfield with him, and he was pointing out all sorts of rare pieces that the owner had no idea about.
When I asked if he was going to buy any, he told me about how many crates of glass were in his basement, that he still had to 'sort out'. ;) 🤣 🤣
