Twisted tubes, bike ID required

A German brand, Checker Pig, used to have similar frames in the late 90's, although the twist was not so sharp as the one here. I even had one shortly that I bought just for the XT v brakes. Search for "Checker Pig spiral". The frame in mine was some flavour of Tange, and the twist was in theory to make it "stronger"

The tubes of the CPX 5000 (and if I remember correctly there were some more models with the same tubes...) you cannot compare with the tubes posted in this thread. They are a kind of Tange Prestige ultrastrong, but twisted.

I guess that the tubes of the CPX 5000 were made by Fuji (Stout Light --> I own a Cycle Culture Theta with those main tubes). identical with the seat tube of the bike in this thread.
Also Oria/ Mannesmann offered tubes with twisted grooves (I own two Ciöcc with those tubes - see attached); the grooves are even more pronounced compared with the Fuji tubes.

Attached you will find a picture of another Cycle Culture with tubes comparable with the ones of the bikes from this thread, but not twisted (sorry, the bike is not restored yet!).

It's supper interesting to see more brands experimenting with twisted tubing. Having these tubes on lugged MTB it's even more special.
