In my view if it's NOS then try to build to period spec. Give the old girl some dignity. Retro bikes and single ring chainsets are an abomination!

I've got a few period correct bikes and I prefer it that way but this does look cool with new mavic wheels and 11spd on mavic hubs ......but then I've got a XT group set with top thumbies apart from the front mech for that bike

Im so happy with my new old stock mavic headset 1 1/4

Thanks mate ,yeah they are harder to find but worth the hunt, ive just got one ready in 1 1/8 for a 1991 kona explosif when it comes back from the spray shop in candy red
