1993 DB Axis Build thread

another one for the Axis collection ( is it too greedy to have a 91,92,93 and 94?) - this one is the 'Emerald Black' ( and therefore somewhat dull looking compared to 92 and earlier) 1993 variant in TIG welded true temper OX 'chunky' gauge tubes.





most of the original parts came with this one - M730/M735 and heavy araya wheels. I do like the Zoom bars and stem , but I feel the need to lighten this one and also go for a more cheerful colour scheme so this one will 'zing' like the '94 I did recently.

...dropped off at powder coating specialists today and decided to try prismatic powder - who says powder coat finishes are boring ? https://www.prismaticpowders.com/gallery?htids=Bicycle Frame - can you guess what colour ( actually two needed) I have selected ? - clue = its a shocker ;-)

I think you bought the bike from me? The frame certainly looks familiar. I rather liked the original colour, but very much looking forward to seeing what you do with it.

aye - it has been sitting in the workshop in Alty since and needed to move forwards - all parts removed and stored carefully - it is in great shape with only minor corrosion around the under-tube bottle mounts - which will be dealt with in the process
