Is it though? Not saying this is happening now - but it is exactly what happened in the past.

I am not looking for an argument, but the Armstrong era had lots of doping, lots knew about it. no one said anything…

It's not true to say nobody said anything, from the 99 Tour on, from Lemonds "greatest fraud in sporting history" remark, through to allegations in the French media, David Walsh's columns etc, All were raising doubt.

But if there are those who doubt Pogacar etc then there's one solution. Just don't watch.

Whew wee, someone's trying to whip up some controversy or troll with that post on the retro page...

It's an apple's and Orange's argument either way. The training is so much different now than in the 70's. The oxygen chambers so you sleep at 14,000 ft. elevation that have been around since the mid 2000's, the training with intervals etc. vs. just putting in the miles/km's, the dieticians and vitamin shots these days that you can blame for your dirty test. Shoot, even the food they eat during the races with the gells and bars is different now vs the 60's-1985ish with their banana's, GORP and coca cola's. The tactics are different now too with the whole in ears and the coach telling them when/where to attack and times ahead or behind now vs. the riders doing it themselves.
Let alone the equipment... I can go on and on.

And I'm not a Eddie fan either.
I much prefer Le Blaireau... The last of the Patron's!
