Where do people buy brake and gear inner and outer cables from

as a shop owner, i stock a brand called "Halt" for my general workshop stuff, stainless steel inners, good quality outers, it's one of my suppliers own brand, sometimes i sell straight from out those boxes. for selling packaged stuff to customers i sell a brand called Elvedes, £8 for inner and outer gear cable including the end caps etc, there's enough outer that i can sell that with one more inner and the customer can do basically front and rear on a bike, same with brake cable.

i then stock a few specifics from shimano and campagnolo.

the reason i don't stock lots of genuine shimano is because to get a stainless cable from shimano is a lot more expensive but no real benefit, shimano is £7 at rrp, from Halt i do them for £3, and the elvedes is £8 for stainless with outer.

On a related topic, has anyone seen cable liner in black for sale in anything other than 30m rolls. The stuff that goes over the bare cables on your top tube to stop them scuffing the paint. I'm not sure what the proper name is. I can find it in clear but the only source in black is industrial quantities.
