I have issue with this. Not the fact that athletes are willing to do it. More where the money goes (of which there will be some, no one does anything for free), because you can be damn sure it isn't going to the people putting themselves at risk.
 
Anyone remember the Tour de Trump? Anyway, Armstrong will always be a polarising figure, and he used and abused the system just like he was used by the UCI to manipulate and regain a positive image for the sport post-'The Great Doping Scandal'. The levels of cynicism are off the charts here, and is it any wonder that the average sports fan regards bike racing with such contempt and derision?

Fair comment, not exactly promoting our sport here. I stick my hand up.
 
goat' and his Motorala bikes were awesome. in the US coverage of the tour Peacock)nbc network allowed him to commentate after each stage with other guests. mens and womens race - he is now forgiven it would seem
