Best LBS in Britain

I'm lucky to live but too far from Condor Cycles, which is my LBS. I don't shop there as much as we I used to buy they get all the repair work I can't be arsed to do! Their workshop is amazing, boxes of everything everywhere and nice old blue and yellow Campag boxes here and there. What do you reckon to the best LBS?

Well this isn't the UK in the video below (its in USA), but i wish we had places like this in the UK! Tons of boxes of new and used stuff that cater to all types - a treasure trove where i could spend all day rummaging through parts! $50 dollars for a Lemond 853 road frame - f**k me, i'd bit their hand off. 😋

The sad thing in the UK is that most modern bike shops only sell top-end expensive stuff which you can buy slightly cheaper online. No wonder they go out of business.

I have Perfect balance cycles by me & they're superb, they've done quite a lot for me before I was confident to do it myself, but we also have the legendary G.A. Cycles They've gotta get my vote Gary's knowledge is amazing + they love a bit of retro (or what they used to sell)

Sadly all of my lbs are more interested in selling and maintaining modern metal (and plastic 🤮) or ebikes and thats why I have to do my own spannering.
Even worse was that my local community bike hub run by two guys who looked and acted like Shaggy from Scooby Doo had no idea what a mono was when I took my Giant Halfway down to them for new wheel bearings...

I had a great experience with Cheltenham Cycles when I took my Dogs Bolx there for a once over, they said it would be a pleasure to work on it (even sent a photo to Just Loretz). Obviously they are still very knowledgeable about the older stuff so I can't recommend them highly enough.

It's definitely not us

We have nothing over £2k
Loads of bikes in the shop are dirty
We don't stock new xtr/dura-ace or di2, although there's quite a bit of pre-owned kit kicking around.

Our stock is so mental that one of our psychiatric doctor customers said it was like the inside of his head.

No epos, no marketing, no hold music, no free parking, no polo shirts, no name tags

The work diary is actually paper!

It can take me a week to answer an email.

I'm incredibly opinionated, (although my colleagues arent)
We may respond to rudeness with rudeness, although it rarely gets physical.

It's more Open all hours or Black Books than Harrods or Apple iStore, that's for sure.
