hi there, how far back are you willing to go? i have a stunningly-original first-year 1988 explosif. essentially all original, even the seat. i thought something wasn't original, but it was correct for the era. paint is remarkable and the seller claimed it was the first splatter-painted kona. looks primitive, technique-wise, so that would certainly indicate very early, if not first, but it looks fantastic. i'll have to go look at it to reacquaint myself with anything is not stock. base colour is black. i can send pics tomorrow if you might be interested. btw, where are you located? i'm near vancouver, bc. thanks, jimbo, the toad man.

Hi Jimbo, I’m sure all the Kona fans would love to see pics.
Unfortunately I’m in the UK so it’s not a practical option for us.
