Sold Peugeot Competition CP10

Thanks for the info. I just checked back to a Blizzard I sold a couple of years ago and sent via parcelforce. Don't have a note of the box size I used but it was £55 at that time.
Sometimes it seems like it's a case of what you might 'get away with' The CP10 box was 152x22x77, yet I know there was significant bulging in middle taking it outside those dimensions but there was no surcharge.
Maybe all these companies don't have the sophiscated level of checks I've often imagined they do.

It might mean taking the fork off and being creative with how the space in the box is used - but the 150cm challenge vs the PF large service which starts at £46 is worth taking to save £30. If for no other reason than to bung the lads and lasses at Halfords a drink...I have asked and got a lot of bike boxes FOC from them over the years.

Halfords have generally been good to me also. Though they did refuse me a box on one occasion citing some health and safety bollocks!

Anyway, this is all somewhat meaningless for me now, all my bikes are sold. Still, if it helps others it's been worthwhile.

Paisleyfreight £40 but chapeau to anyone whio can get a bike down to fit in the ParcelForce guidelines. Another way to do it cheaper with Parcelforce is to send it in 2 boxes @£15 each.
