Velowizard one of my favorite german sellers , had a very unusual frame in a very unusual color. It was a danish handmade Principia RSL in 7020 aluminium in sparkling green in new old stock condition. Along with the low weight of the 7020 aluminium comes its high durability and stiffness which is proven by positive results of extensive stress tests carried out at the factory. Additionally, 7020 aluminium does not require heat treatment which allows for easier repair compared to the common 6061 T6 alloy. Some brands like Tessiore and Merckx used Extralight Icaro Aluminium 7020 tubing, Pinarello used Oria Aluminium 7020 tubing in the Monviso, Angrilu and Asolo, Carrera used 7020 aluminium for their team Asics frames, other German brands such as Centurion and Müsing used 7020 aluminium as was Principia. Nicolai another well known German framebuilder uses exclusively 7020 aluminium for its frames. Craftsmanship and finish of the welds on this frame is extremely high quality, beautiful as good as Cannondale, Daccordi, Veneto and De Rosa. I always heard very positive things on Principia.
