..i went down a hill, not really knowing where i was or where i was going.. and like all hills in Sheffield, the more fun they are to ride down the more painfull they are to ride back up.. I popped out at Strawberry Lee Lane, asked a runner for directions.. then headed back up the hill through Blackamore

..and home

That round thing looks like a ventilation shaft. Any tunnels running under there?

One of the neighbours thinks the mound underneath is full of water for irrigation.. there are other brick circles in the bottom of the valley near some farmland albeit they don't have the mound so maybe they feed down..

It's here if you'd care to investigate https://maps.app.goo.gl/3zY4a8LnGRwbhRJb6

edit-

You're right @wynne .. i had to read the entire internet but i found it eventually..

A couple of rides around the usual route over the last two days. This one has been languishing in the rack for a while as the tyres I bought where the wrong size, I finally got around to swapping them with another bike and took it out for a ride.

not that exotic a frame, but I love the paint design and the fact it changes colour at night :-) Got a few looks on this one 😄

The ferns are beginning to grow up and the deer raise their calves and fawns under the cover they provide. May and June are birthing months and as I ride down here there were a couple of Fallow deer fawns hiding in the ferns.

Even in the park, where there are no real predators and the deer are more used to humans they remain skittish.. a bevy had moved off as I approached, apart from this one who stared at me and seemed to be curious.

I had to run some errands and deliveries this evening so got out on my bike instead of taking the car. Afterwards I decided to take a swing through the park - have to make use of these light evenings while they are here!

The Storm was at the lower end of the Breezer line up, but whatever, I love this bike! It just wants to roll and roll.

I bloody love this time of year ...after a day of rather boring meetings, I couldn't wait to get out

It always amazes me that, apart from where some cricket was being played, the park is often almost deserted this time of the evening. It's one of the best times of the day.

Heading for home before the sun drops.. 28C warm, slight breeze... need to adjust my FD
