1988 Kuwahara Lion

I had some time last night to get to grips with the Lion.
Unfortunately, my new puller was of surprisingly poor quality and so I couldn't remove the sprocket.

So the dork disc will stay on for a while longer. Somehow it belongs there and it doesn't look to bad.

I then centred the wheels, cleaned and greased the bearings and refitted the fork.

I hope I can finish putting everything together tomorrow and then finally ride it.

Looking awesome!!🦁

I had the same issue with a new freewheel tool recently, in the end I bought an old one of eBay - its seems like the newer ones are built from lighter/cheaper/weaker alloy.

Thanks for the tip, I'll have a look.

Yesterday I managed to finish the bike and this morning I rode the first few kms. It feels ultra comfortable and also sounds just different.
The freewheel, the shifters, the brakes...it all sounds heavy metalish somehow, awesome!

I love it!
When you get bored post it to me, I'll take care of it. The postage would be savage 🤦‍♂️😂
