1988 Kuwahara Lion

Decal can be saved.
Clean the sticky side with isopropyl. If it's curled or dog eared you can follow instructions in this post.

Use a suitable glue like 3M Super 77 to affix.
Wow thanks a lot!!
It is still on my workbench and in pretty good shape...(because I'm a lazy fella when it comes to cleaning up the shed)

Due to health problems, I'm not getting much work done at the moment. But I did manage to do a bit yesterday
I cleaned and re-greased the pedals. Now they run like on the first day again.

Unfortunately I'm missing a dust cap, so if anyone has one to spare I'd be happy to take it.

Next up: saddle and seatpost

Fortunately, the seat post was not corroded in the seat tube. You can see the beginnings but it wasn't too late. Also the saddle looks really good for it's almost 40 years of age.

What a great find. The finished product is going to have a nice used and cared for look. The pic of the BB shell blew my tiny mind and loving the brakes.

Didn't get much done in the last few weeks so now I'm happy to work on the Lion again.

While waiting for the dust caps to arrive (thank you so much @novocaine) I cleaned the seat, seatpost and quick release.

All the parts are in pretty good shape for their age.

I also found something in my parts bin that was a tuning part back then and I just hat to install it...

Looking pretty good so far.

What a lovely thing this is and so complete still. Excellent find. Those brakes really take me back 😁
