Seat post angle shim? 🤔

Does such a thing exist?

I'm fettling around with my set up & want to try a slight nose down saddle position to see if that's any more comfortable for longer rides. My current post has run out of travel in that direction.

It's an ITM Flat post (image grabbed from an eBay listing). It's already got a little DIY shim in there made from a beer can that I used to get the saddle perfectly flat, but I'm thinking there must be a more elegant solution.

Ideally I don't want to get a new post, but realise that might be the easiest win here

Can you file the back of the slot the bolt passes through a bit to give a bit more adjustment?
good idea 👍🏻 I don't think there's loads of material back there, but I can't imagine a couple of mm will hurt.

Got me thinking that the bottom 5mm or so of the bolt doesn't engage with anything so I could probably shave some width from the bolt as well

I’m confused…. Can you upload a photo of your set-up?

Image one - red arrow showing small alu bodge to get a couple extra degrees tilt on the saddle ( bringing it down flat)

Image two - not showing much, other than general seat tube angle

Image three - you can see the bolt is slammed to the back, so no more forward tilt for me without modification

Is it just my eyes or does it 'look' like the cradle for the clamp (attached to the post) seems a bit flat / not the correct curvature? Maybe because the shim is in there?

Does it make any difference turning the upper clamp elements the other way around?
