What are these little seatpost bolts called and where can I get one?

I snapped one of these little bolt washer things and need a new one for my seatpost.

You can buy sets of the actual bolts and one of these on eBay, but I only need the washer thing and wondering if I can get one from somewhere like screwfix or a hardware shop but I don’t know what they are actually called to search for them? 🤠

Thanks

I don’t know what that bit is called but I’ve only ever seen them sold complete. They can have different bolt widths, beware.

Yeah, as Dave @novocaine says it's a Barrel nut, sometimes called a Cross Dowel, they're pretty common in furniture so probably fairly easy to find something on Ebay, depending on size of course. :)

M5 is 8mm d
M6 is 10mm d
M8 is 11.5mm d

Length changes.

Unless the maker of the seat clamp was silly and made a custom size (also known as piss poor engineering) the above should see you right.

Thanks mate, that’s really helpful. I’ve measured the other one and it’s 8mm d and 150mm long.

I haven’t checked the size of the bolt yet but I think it’s an M5 as per your comment

It’s from an old Syncros seatpost
