Back to a standard month for May, so open to all mtb's from 1998 up to the present day.

Useful for the poll if you can structure your nomination as follows:

username's Year Manufacturer Model , e.g. @al's 1995 weird bouncy thing
Image(s) MAXIMUM OF 2
Finally please include a link to your machine in the relevant Reader's Bikes section. If you don't have an existing post now is the time to add one with as much detail as you like!
Link to all the rules http://www.retrobike.co.uk/wiki/BoTM_Rules

Nominations thread will run for the entire month of May. Entries submitted after May 31st will not be counted. The poll will go up shortly after the nominations close and will run for a week.

Woz' 1999 Sunn Crosss - aka the "Bumble Bee".

A fresh yet another re-build. The parts bin is now almost empty. It's a functional mixed bag of Deore, Deore LX, Alivio, STX-RC, SRAM 9 speed cassette and chain with a novelty component called a FRONT DERAILLEUR ffs. Built for messing about, country and urban errands, and such like.

@Olibabe 1998 Cannondale Raven 4000 SL

My first very good MTb was a Cannondale 2000SL bought in 1998. A great bike that I’ve raced for 5 years. I remember so many heads turning, because this bike was so unique and in ahead of it’s time !
My 2000Sl was nice but I’ve always dreamed of the 4000 SL and it’s fantastic configuration with the Coda Magic crankset, Avid Ultimate brakes, Mavic CrossMax. Finally, few years ago, the dream came true, and I’m now the lucky owner of this nice (almost) catalog spec Raven 1 in it’s finest build.
I hope you’ll like it !

Can't figure out how to give it a title ( technology is not my strong point ) but here is my 97 Sintesi Bazooka or it could be a 98. I bought the frame as an old beat up thing and resprayed it myself. I went for silver Hope headset, big un hubs, M4 brakes, rear skewer and seat clamp. XTR M952 cranks, BB, shifter and rear derailleur. Azonic bars, stem and grips. MK1 DMR V12 pedals and Geax 2.4 tyres with an SDG tiger print saddle. I hope you all enjoy the pics.
