What to do in the event of a total blackout: a Revolution!

I was watching a Tour de France in the late 80s when suddenly a TVM escaped from the peloton.
What!!!!
What the hell is that bike!!!
1991.

You should also get the correct hairstyle!

I know how much a kirk weighs, and how they "ride" 😉,

they were surprisingly common for a while - half a dozen mtbs through the shop, and one "tourer"

- not so many left now, so take it easy😬

Theunisse!! Of course!!! What a great cyclist

And in this image I take the Vitus fork, which seems to me

I wouldn't mind taking it with me but it won't be possible, I'm just a billiard ball, my head is like the surface of Europe, the satellite of Jupiter 🥺 🤣 🤣

But I still spend many decades looking for a Kirk. Hecho is the oldest search that he had on Ebay. After seeing it in this color I decided not to wait any longer.

And seeing this beautiful image that has reminded me that I found my carpet with which the class was filled with photos of cyclists from "other times". I went to photograph it

They aren't underrated, but the cast construction is an interesting dead-end.
It hasn't been done since, for good reason.

It's a very interesting design, but failed to deliver what was claimed:

It's very heavy, very flexy, and very prone to breaking.

Killer 80s looks though😎

Didn't think they would be heavy just noticed as well that the competion yellow frame has all the notches cut out along the top rail and the purple one doesn't yet it has the notches I know it probably weight but it makes it look a lot better

Iirc, The brand ended up owned by Dawes, and the final stock of bikes was sold off super cheap, once their reputation was common knowledge, and mostly bought for the build kit (principally Exage LX) - many frames were chucked in the recycling unused🙄

The cast idea was revisted by Empire Cycles in more recent times, not sure if they are still available cast. There are a few that were even 3d metal printed by Renishaw. My brother had one of the standard cast ones and did remark it had a dead feel.

Superb job on the Kirk, nice to see one built up with quality parts.

Dawes won't have made any changes - they treated it as a lame duck and got rid of the bikes as fast as possible.

The casting was a very quick process, but there would have been finishing detail differences depending on the build quality.

Production must have started with a belief in the product, but as the weight/flex/ failure rate became clear, the enthusiasm evaporated.

There was a rumour even as late as 2010 iirc that there was still stock of new frames somewhere on dawes premises - but surely they would have recycled them by now, any attempt to market them would cost more than it could possibly raise - and that failure rate would not be acceptable to their insurers.

ell, don't buy Silverfish, I'll come back from the UK if I don't remember badly.
For me it's a beautiful memory, very beautiful. You need to have one to be happy. I believe they deserve more qualitative and more evolutionary setups.
I hope you find him who is looking for and gives him a little bit of that glory that he deserves and doesn't have time
