1989 Specialized Stumpjumper

I'm judging... mainly the seating arrangement: gel cover, sprung (cheapo) saddle AND a suspension post. Is that setup for someone who, despite all attempts to the contrary, had to give up riding due to horrendous hemorrhoids?
I think it's more arm chair than saddle!!! Also the bike has lost it's original wheels and I'm guessing you all know that that lovely stem isn't original either! ;)

Front wheel is still original
Yes you're right. I didn't look at it properly. It looked like the front hub was a later fat bodied Shimano hub (parallax). The original QR has been lost or at least the nut as it's plastic coated steel job. I can also now see the yellow Specialized logo sticker and the blue BX23? sticker!

Must look properly next time 🔍👀

The only reason I really paid attention is I've become a bit obsessed with Specialized rims in my current Stumpy build and noticed they were the lesser seen GX23 (grey) as opposed to the BX23 (black)!
