Some of the original team bikes carried the initials of the rider who it was made for - could be worth checking if there was a rider with initials ML

The original pro team bikes were all Reynolds 753 AFAIK. 653 would be for consumer market reproductions and a number were made for amateur teams in France, which are in effect semi professional riders. My pal rode for ASPTT Nantes, who were part sponsored by Castorama and he had one. I don't know who made these frames, but it's unlikely to have been Cyfac, lower tier frames for amateur riders would probably have been sub contracted out . The riders names were in the form of two initials under the bottom bracket in the French style - surname/given name. So Laurent Fignon would be FL.

You can find pro team bikes regularly in France, but they are usually stripped of most of their original C Record Delta group sets.

Here's an example of a Cyfac built Pro team 753 with the full Record Delta group. This one belonged to Eric Pichon.

Pretty sure it was used in 1988/1989 by the team in which Laurent Fignon was (I think it was Systeme U but not sure) , why not send Cyfac an email ??
It’s a 91 as te serial number suggests

I believe, being 91, could have been made for the 92 season , and in 92 there was a rider who had those initials Madouas Laurent

From what i understood the 653 was a combination of 531c main tubes and 753 rear triangle and was used by sprinters and thise bikes , linke mine, used dura ace 7400 series, and this bike is confirmed to be cyfac built but i wasn’t able to get any more info then what i have till now

Wow, what a great find, always nice to find ex team bikes and get them back to how they were originally.
This is Laurent Fignon's 1991 Raleigh, the switch from Campagnolo to Shimano DuraAce has been made 👍

I don't know who made these frames, but it's unlikely to have been Cyfac, as their bag was and stills top end road and randonneur bikes. It's Fignon's very special lightweight climbing bike built in aluminium by Sabliere for stage 17 of the Tour de France.. Gap - L'Alpe d'Huez 👍

The bike was built from 'Aviatube' aluminium, and apparently Fignon was not happy with the final weight of 8.9kg, citing that the aluminium Bianchi riders were on bikes weighing a kilo less. I've seen him up close though, and he is a formidable big bugger of a guy 😵😜
