I’ve wanted one of these for a while but never thought I’d find one nearby, sensible money and correct size. But the stars lined up yesterday while browsing eBay and offer accepted - here it is.
Lots of original bits, some not so original parts. Itm Mach 3 bars are nice but bar ends and stem not to my taste.
It’s scruffy but seems solid, can’t see any dents or cracks but I’ll know more once it’s stripped down.
Let the fun begin.

Stripped down with no major issues at all. Obviously it’s all going to need a thorough clean but also somewhere along the line I think a lot of it has been painted pretty badly.
Should keep me busy then..
The frame and fork will get powder coated in fresh gloss black. I need new decals but don’t think Gil does these and vintagecannondale.com only sells them in white.. hmmm.
Also a couple of non standard parts will need replacing so I’ll be scouring eBay for those (any excuse!).

The Dia compe bat wings are one of the coolest levers IMO

I’ve never seen anything like them before! Really nicely made, the reach and tension adjusters are neat bits of engineering.
