I always have a big shiny "ding dong glock", I have tried those silly pingers...i rate them only moderately above useless, but these are fab and elicit a pleasant response from pedestrians, you can ding dong from about 50 mtrs and still be heard, £7.00 !!, here it is in action

Halfords are selling them for £6.99 which is ridiculously cheap they are worth 3x that, they are excellent quality and should last forever HOWEVER one thing to watch, the striker is held on with a star washer, I did have one come off and the striker came off....it cant go anywhere so it can be put back on so on mine (I have 4!!!!) On my gravel bike I’m running a Spurcycle bell. By far the loudest I’ve heard anyone use.

I like the ping bells. The ones I use are loud. No amount of ringing clears the walking dead (headphone wearers) out of the way.

Ahhh that's the thing I like, it alerts people but not in an abrupt way
