Carlton Kermesse

Bighair

Retro Newbie
Hi
I’ve just bought a Carlton ‘Kermesse’ with a frame number:-
WG6001098
It has Kermesse graphics and Reynolds 501 graphics on frame and on cromalloy-m
Forks.
Can anybody tell me if this is a Kermesse and what year it is?
Thanks in advance
Neil

Would you have any pictures of them - I want to check the colour and graphics- have seen a Kermesse with yellow bands on the seat tube? on eBay. Otherwise thank you for your help
Neil

Early 70s Kermesse had yellow bands. Yours looks correct for year from what I can see. Should be equipped with 105 golden arrow from memory.

It has shimano golden arrow gears and cranks plus Weinmann type 500 brakes, SR custom bars, iSCA saddle MKS peddles, Maillard hubs on weinmann rims

Just bought practically the same bike, serial number WH6000666 from the local car boot sale.
I wasn't going to buy it since it was "only" 501 and I had set myself a limit of only buying 531 and better due to lack of space but I rode it and it fits perfectly and rides nicely and has the complete original Golden Arrow group set so I cracked.i
It wouldn't fit in the car so my daughter drove home and I rode the bike, which was a little tricky due to the egg beater pedals but it was a smooth ride otherwise.
