5 very different “non road” bikes so far… looks like fun.

Where are the Treks, Cannondales, Ibis, etc etc etc .....or am im always early to the party....

I’m watching this thread hoping to be enlightened. My poor head can only think of 26” retro as that’s all I had…other than my Raleigh Burner……..but that was a BMX.

I’m aware of some of the GT range like the tandem having oddball sizes, I was aware of those BITD but not that they had different size wheels also the Muddy Fox Bigfoot but had never heard of that before Retrobike, so educate me, what’s the grail of non 26” retro?
Most Clelands had 650B wheels.
Cannondale had a 24/26.
I'm sure there are others.

Have to say I'm in agreement with Sinnerman on the first 2 bikes entered. Cool bikes both, but not 'mountain bikes' or anything even approaching that description. Sorry!

I’ve spent a happy hour or so looking at Ibis and Cannondales in non 26” format so it’s been really interesting for me. Clelands I had heard of but again only since being on the forum. In the days when retro was current for me I only encountered what my mates had or what was in the local shops.
Now I find my finger hovering over the buy it now on a lovely Cannondale with 24” wheels on eBay just now. I have no use for it other than for what looks like an XC seatpost on it dammit.

Well the lad has pulled his BMX, sorry my fault, it was my suggestion. I’d assumed Adrian was trying something different as a bit of fresh air for the comp and that it would attract many bikes that were outside the normal ‘26” retro MTB’ and that might include Trackers, Clunkers, Hybrids, BMX’s, Jump bikes etc etc…
But I guess what it really meant was kids MTB’s?
