Early Zaskar Gloucestershire

Looks like an early one but the u-brake is changed to something else. Possibly 2x4 forks as well.

Looks like 2x4s, which makes it a 1991 if they are original.

There was one with a 2x4 I posted a while back, that one was pooched, had a rear mech hanger repair.

Don’t think I’ve seen this one on eBay.

Most of the stuff that comes up on my easyliveauction searches is either house clearance or police/council disposal.

If the repair is well done it's an improvement imo. The threads in the hanger on my '91 frame were gone so I put a steel insert in which made it more secure (although less original).

I was watching this, went for £75 in the end. I was tempted but I couldn't determine if it was a genuine Zaskar or not so stopped bidding any more.

Im no GT expert but did have a look at this today.
Flat cap on the top tube and 6061 Al frame material.
Suntour XC Pro front & rear derailleur, Dia Comp U brake, DX thumb shifters, Ritchey logic brake levers.
Rear wheel was a screw on Campag hub no name front on Vantage comp rims.

I’m no expert either but I think 6061 is definitely a Zaskar then. Never mind, win some lose some.

Definitely a 91 Zaskar, a bargain with 2x4 forks & still had the original stem too.
