My daughters 1995 Orange C16r

Killer steVe

Retro Guru
Here is the ‘95 C16r I’ve just finished building for my daughter. I still get excited when I finish a build......
She took it on a test ride and while it rode well she has said she’d like the handle bars a bit higher so I’ve got an Azonic riser bar I’ll fit (although I need some purple Jagwire outer cable if anyone has a bit spare?). I also need to play with the elastomers in the forks as I set them a bit too soft for her weight and she said the saddle is uncomfortable so I’ll have to find a lady friendly one that doesn’t look like a sofa. Other than that, really pleased how it came out.

Thanks, I’m please the way it’s turned out.

Not been to the Chase yet but we are going up on Sunday so fingers crossed it’s not too wet!

I hear that... I miss that placw after moving to Cornwall. Get some pics of your builds in the wilds....... After all its where these bikes belong... Well at least once rather than being hung on a wall and feather dusted like some OP

Wow that looks amazing. STX-RC was my lusted after groupset back in the day. There was something about the finish that made it so desirable. Love the subtle purple parts that really set it off. Hope she enjoys it

Lovely job! I had two of these, they both got nicked back in the 90s.
