Columbus steel experts: Nivacrom / Nivracom?

Re:

One is an incorrect spelling...!

NivaCrom is a specific type of alloyed steel they used in (for example) Max, Genius, Nemo tubing sets.

Never heard of NivraCrom!

Re:

It is a confusing combination of letters, isn't it..? Especially when your brain already thinks that it knows what it should be reading.

Nonetheless, the decal on my Bianchi frame really reads NIVRACOM:

Maybe an Italian Gil_M had a couple too many limoncellos..

Re:

Ni (nickel or niobium?)
va (Vanadium)
crom (chrome, chromoly, cro-mo..)
Something like that, it's a patent name so no other ways to spell it

Re:

X Does it have the shaped tubing?X Edit scratch that's its internal butting shapes, no external.

Or just poor repro stickers, or a bad day at the printers.

Re:

You had me worried there: I don't recall seeing a particular shape in the tubes..
It has Bianchi stamped on the top of the BB shell and the s/n looks legit, including the size stamped, so I guess the frame is OK, regardless of the decal.

Cheers for your responses!

No Columbus expert here, but this remains me a similar mistake on some high-end Rocky Mountain IIRC where "titanium" or "Sandvik" or *I don't remember what* was incorrectly spelled. And this was on the stock decals. The repros were fine :D

I was close : it was on the Rocky Mountain Ti Bolt where "Custom gauge titanium" was spelled as "Custom guage titanium":
file.php

You can read more about this at viewtopic.php?f=6&t=245840&hilit=rocky+mountain+titanium&start=110 but this is OT with your question :P
