Alpinestars asr 320

MacRetro Rider
Hello troops,

Impulse bought a Alpinestars asr 320 alloy mtb frame off ebay for £20.

Anyone know anything about this model, looks nice, sort of metalic pinky colour but thats probably not actual colour. Seems to have a brake hanger so possibly pre V-brake.

Any history you can give would as usual be great and I thank you in advance :D

Kaiser, owing to my PC technical ineptitude I do not know how to post a ebay link thingy, please talk me through it.

OK

Go to the ebay page and hi-light the address bar

right click and copy it

come back here and post a reply

click on the URL button which will give you this {URL} but with these []

paste the address in and them press the URL button again and it will give you this {/URL} but with these []

then submit your post

and you will end up with something like this

http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/alpinestars-a...286.c0.m14&_trkparms=66:4|65:13|39:1|240:1318

:D

Kaiser you evil b*******

If you could do that yourself why'd you cause me mental strife :?

Yes thats the frame, looks good but no one seems keen to tell me much about it. Nothing seems to exist on the web about it.

Seems only the raised chainstay models were apreciated.

Probably going to turn it into my SS rig for SSUK09.

Cheers :D

That looks very nice velo- I know nowt about it sorry, just know it will look very nice as a SS.

Is it big enough given your stretched out body/leg situation?

Yeah what did happen to that Kona?

alpinestars

I remember those. From 1993 I think. Don't remember that colour, but they did come in light shades of colours if I rememer rightly (probably wrong). I believe its the same year they started badging their steel frames D735 for the xt & D535 for the LX or something. Steel ones were nice bikes, stiff and a bit unforgiving but nice, finished in like a nickel coating, with matching anodised posts and bars.

Just flicked through the 93' catalogue and it does not appear. I'd think 94-96, but again i'm no expert on these years.
