What ever happend to 5p at a time, considering how many stamps they sell a day, seems a big increase. Seems anything goes these days '' they will take it on the nose'' seems we will, is there any point complaining any more ? Seems people can just increase the price of something, ....we moan...then just pay it

''The 30% price rise in first-class stamps, and 39% rise for second-class, mark record annual increases.'' so 2nd class has risen more percentage wise than 1st !!!!!!! yer right

60p to be able to send something the entire distance of the country within a couple of days...

...not really worth moaning about is it?

+1

Nobody likes it when prices rise, but it's still an absolute bargain. No, I don't work for RM either ;)

Well why not a £1.00 thats just the price of a lottery ticket.........well why not £2.00 that's ...........and on and on. Yer £5.00 is not a lot of money either. Percentages is money !

What happens if you send a lot of letters and can't afford such a huge increase............does anyone even care ? it seems not, were all just becoming a load of ecking sheep BAH..............

I wondered why my birthday card from my auntie never got here, she must have sent it to Cornwall.

How about sending something quarter of a mile in the same town?

While I applaud our mail service for being one of the best I have used, they really could offer a cheaper base rate letter price.

1/4 of a mile in same town... walk or cycle with the letter?

A cheaper option... 2nd class?

39% for 2nd class. Are some of you so un-shockable, sedated even......living in a Matrix egg cup  Jesus you must all be minted ! like lamb..BAH

You do know where the short fall in royal mail expenses comes from don't you?
In order to make it a viable private company it needs to be self sufficient.
The real shocker is just how cheap it's been until now.

It used to cost X it now costs Y.
And there's nothing you can do about it.
Hows that then, or will it still keep you up at night.
