I tried selling this last year but ended up keeping it. I've now done a little work to it namely taking the American theme a little too far but also adjusting and oiling everything so the bike actually rides quite well now. I'm looking for $550 for it plus shipping.

AMP Research B4 from 1998 painted red by AMP
original rims (painted red same as frame, but no decals for ID)
Full Deore LX group minus the brakes
AMP Research D1 hydraulic brakes
AMP FCXC fork
Machine Tech stem
Specialized romin saddle
bar and seatpost are no name modern ones. Kaloy, origin8 maybe.
Miniature American flag

If your interested just make an offer, I need this one moved to make space for a Brooklyn Machine Works.

Making space for a BMW......?

Never a bad thing
Mate used to ride for them... had a Rubber Duck, Race Link, Mini Link, various Parkbikes and the fabled 6inch full sus BMX too
Absolutely mental

What you getting?

I've got a Big Ben in Joe's welding jig right now. Putting some ISCG tabs on to run a hammerschmidt 2 speed crank. Been waiting 8 months since I ordered it but many more years to be the proud owner of a BMW.

Price drop bump. Now entertaining offers for complete bike. I'd really rather not split as its still 99% original (new parts: seat, seatpost, stem, handlebar) and because I need the space not the money.

I might be interested - what size is it? Are the pivots all nice and tight on the frame and fork, and what are the shocks themselves like?

I live in the UK, so I'd have to look into postage costs, but if you could let me know about the above, I'd appreciate it :)

Alternatively, I've got a set of 2011 Fox 36 TALAS FIT 160s that I'd swap for it. Travel adjustable 120 or 160mm.

They'd look lovely plugged in the front end of the BMW ;)

Seat tube is 19.25" center to top and effective top tube is 22". All the pivots are in great shape. Not too much sag in either of the shocks and for a bike of this age and design I've always thought it rides very well. There are some wear marks as on any bike that has been ridden but no gauges or dents or anything like that. The worst mark on the bike is a flake of red paint that came off the front rim god knows when that I've just now noticed (its smaller than a dime).

Though they sound great I've already got a fork for this project but if there's a set of trick wheels out there someone would like to trade my ears are open. I've been thinking I9 SS or modern Spinergy Xyclones. But they have to have a 20mm front axle and would preferably be single speed.

As far as shipping I recently found a carrier who will do airport delivery at around half the cost of standard door to door shipping. PM me your address and I'll get you the best quote I can.

A bump and a shipped price. 550GBP delivered to anywhere in the UK and most of Europe. For any specific country just pm.
