What does a XT BR M739 v brake tune up kit consist of and what does it do? Does it stop them rattling or what?

i think the intention is that it stops them rattling yes, although i cannot vouch how successfully it does this as i never got around to fitting them!!!
the instructions (which i can read through the unopened plastic packets they are in) read as follows:

Contents of kit:
Axle fixing bolt (E) x 2 Axle cap (F) x 4
SUS adjusting shim (D) x 8
(t=0.05mm x 2 / 0.1mm x 2 / 0.2mm x 2 / 0.3mm x 2

basically 2 bolts, 4 sticky things and 8 washers!!
i'm guessing there is a picture but because of the way the instructions are folded i can't see it!
