How much is a frame respray?

What would you pay for a nice professional respray in a single colour (rigid bike)?

Never had one done before but contemplating a complete restoration if the figures stack up.

Excuse my ignorance - what is the difference between a powder coat and a traditional respray?

Yup. If your just after a simple single colour, powder coating is the way to go. Much cheaper and much tougher, so more suitable for MTB frames than wet spaying.

Powder coating is a plastic powder sprayed and then baked and 'melted' onto the surface.
