Trial - Gold Trader status

In order to try and improve trust on this site we are setting up 'Gold Trader' status for a trial period.

Once a user has 30 positive feedback posts on his or her feedback thread they are entitled to become a 'Gold Trader' and will have a little logo under their name like this



To become a gold trader please do the following

-Complete 30 good transactions, both buying and selling. If you have negative feedback for any reason will judge this as it comes.
-Have your feedback thread linnked from your profile. Details here.
-Drop me a PM with title 'Gold Trader application'. In this PM you must include the following
-- a link to your feedback thread
-- your current status, especially if it is a 'special' status you wish to retain
-- confirm feedback link added to profile
-Will evaluate your application and update you to 'Gold Trader' status if I feel it appropriate.

If as a Gold Trader you have any valid complaints against you the status will be permenantly removed.

ah the suspense is over, i hate surprises! good compromise john! i think this is a relatively good system, what about bronze silver gold though? and also why has lgf got a pink banner?! im not trying to be really critical just suggesting as i dont think i will get 30 positive feedbacks anytime soon :?

the real key, is not to pay anyone with a paypal gift unless you trust them implicitly.

i would rather pay via a regular payment and pay whatever % extra to the seller unless i knew them 100% to be sound....

do you sell alu tubing mate?? also, i guess feedback is a must for transactions now ideally?

with 4 pages i think i ll qualify .

Just to add one of the reasons for this is to get people to use the feedback forum!

i normally use paypal but send payment as 'for goods' etc. is this the same as gift?

Great idea but lets not add confusion
Does this mean someone with gold is more trustworthy than someone with silver :?
