Bought this Muddyfox Ti frame off ebay last week £190 & 1570g, c/w rackmounts on the drop outs ready for some credit card touring :) Think it needs some black cranks to set it off & still searching for a 34.9mm XTR front mech for it.
Not sure on age - the guy I bought it off reconned he'd bought it at the NEC in 1998? but it has a canti hanger, anyway it's cheap Russian(probably) Ti & I really like it - currently sporting slicks for this weekends Chiltern 100 :)

nice!

somewhere in 1997/1998 there was an article in the German Bike about 2 very exclusive bikes. Among these 2 was a (this?) MuddyFox but it had blue letters on it and some very very ridicilous expensive parts on it..

Love that bike tho, damn 8)

Just guessing, but in my experience Ti bikes more commonly have a 31.8mm seat tube. Be sure to check before you buy a derailleur!

Nice bike by the way, good lines, and damn cheap!

That's just like the one I just sold. I had originally thought it was a Muddy Fox Titan Pro, but then when I saw an article with pics of that bike it was clearly a different frame, so after much exhausting searching I didn't really get very far, except that some felt from some of the features on it it might have been Litespeed built.

Nice! Any ti for £190 is a win.

The Jim'll fix it ti fox article is great. WOnder what happened to the bike and rider.

Cheers guys, went for a wee ride this morning & had me thinking that this could be the bike that I'd keep if I could only have one :)

mechagouki - thanks but def a 34.9mm - I have an unshimmed deore mech fitted at the moment :(

orange71 - def looks very similar, even down to the scalloping of the headtube? (can't quite tell by the photos) did yours have mudguard eyes on the drop outs?

Sorry it's not a retro build but I sit firmly on the fence of the cheapness of no mans land nestling comfortably between the "must have latest fad" & "retro cool"
