Advice on forks pannier racks

Retro Guru
Hi im looking for suggestions on some pannier racks to go on my rigid forks.
Racks for forks with and without eyelets on side of forks.
So i can start some 'bike and bivi' (off road camping and meals etc).
Also some small pannier bags to go on the front rack.
Any other bike and bivi-ers? Would be great to see some pics etc.
Thanks

Oh damn. Maybe ill ditch the idea of rqcks and panniers then.
It would be a lot of money to buy the whole set up only to find it doesnt work very well.
I thought a great route to ride would be the length of hadrians wall with lots of camping en route.

The history man, what bike is that? Its a sweet lookin bike!
How is your front pannier rack secured to the forks? Is it clamped to forks or attached to eyelets and those screw holes pannier mounts?
What racks are they? And your front panniers, what size are they?
Thanks

Questions questions.......

That is a made to measure steel 29er built for the job. Click Coastroad below my point to see the bike thread

front rack : https://www.bicyclehero.com/gb/axiom-jo ... gKKrPD_BwE

it uses an extended qr and clamps around the forks. very secure. The only issue was front panniers jumping off so an extra bungee around them sorted that.

Front panniers are just some universal medium ones. rear are old school karrimors rear rack is a blackburn I think. plus bar mounted valuables bag with clear map case on top that clips off for shopping for tea etc.

As per THM ^^^^ it is very dependant on what you mean by bivvying and camping/offroad and such like.

We were looking at sections of the Bohusleden, which is a MTB/Walking dual use trail, as it passes within a few hundred metres of our house...... but it's "proper" offroad in a lot of places. Not too much double track/gravel roads.

Thanks history man ill check it out.

Mattr i guess ill be doing both, gravel roads, farm tracks etc and complete off road, goat tracks, ploughed fields, grass fields, thick mud etc.
Maybe ill load up the panniers and if it doesnt work, ill transfer the panniers to my 700c touring bike and for the mtb ill get some frame and under saddle bags.

The history man, i do like those overburys!
(I actually started a page on facebook, 'Best of Britain,ATBs, MTBs' for older british bikes. I love older british bikes and so ideally I'd like to tour some of the country on one).
I took a look at your thread and man you have had some adventures on that blue bike!
I see you ate some really good food on the trips too...sausages,steak etc.
:-)
