BITD we reversed the weinmann washers so they didn't show any names and the spokes would have been butted but blimey that's a killer bike

Glad you have left the frame untouched and those close ratio gears just make it look fast!

I absolutely love these Jubilee Rear Mechs. You really need to see one in the flesh to appreciate them, they are minuscule! They have a bit of a reputation for being a bit flaky, but I can honestly say that the two I have on my bikes have performed flawlessly so far. Plus, if Alf Engers used them, that's good enough for me!

It's well worth keeping a watch for one. Don't be tempted to pay too much. I've seen sellers wanting £100 - £150, but, out of the three I have, two cost me £40 and the one you see above only cost £28!

Also bear in mind that Huret made two variations. One made for French style rear dropouts without a stop and one for Italan (Campagnolo) style dropouts with a stop. You can use the French style ones with Italian dropouts but you'll need a separate dropout washer.

Noted, just seen the typical market 'price' on the bay. Hilary Stone also has one, and given your knowledge, his will be a french version, so i'll keep a search open on ebay and wait until an Italian version comes to market without paying over the odds - £40 would seem very reasonable. Cheers for the tip, much appreciated.

Huret also did a titanium one which people used............ugly as sin though
