Orange Alu O officionardo's

Hi all,

I'm not a new member but it's been so long I forgot all my details and also my old email account no longer exists so had to start a fresh.

I've been doing some research into an Alu O frame I have.

The frame number is A91020015. Can anyone help confirm age etc as I've had mixed bags of info on FB sites.

It’s first batch aluminium o. 1991.
It was Matt grey originally.
I gave this alloy o frame to someone for free 3-4 months back. Have put pictures of it on your Facebook thread.
I bought it off the original owner, who bought it in 1991, unfortunately it was left in his garden for many years. It’s obviously been rubbed down since I had it.

Yeah I've stripped it right back as it was in the same condition as the pics you sent me. Worth a decent build up I reckon if it's deffo first batch.

It’s 100% 1st batch. The guy I bought it off, purchased it when the aluminium o was first out.. can’t remember what shop, possibly Sunset cycles Cardiff, I seem to remember. I bought it locally in South Wales where I live. But unfortunately it spent half its life in the garden and was in a real sorry state, the guy I got to from was fond of it, but was going to skip it. I gave him £30 quid and basically bought it for the saddle and seatpost for one of my O projects. The frame is too small for me. Anyway glad it’s gone to a good home. Anyway if you need any detailed pics if you decide to do it Matt grey respray, can help you out, as I have a couple of Matt grey O’s.

Now to get some sort of colour code as it's ready for paint. I'm guess Gil still does the graphics around these parts?

Not sure on the RAL code, and am pretty sure someone on here before tried to get it with no joy unfortunately. Gil will have aluminium o graphics. Almost certain

No Callum, I wasn't aware it was originally grey so went at it hammer and tong. There's some still on my driveway lol. Can you ping me over a pic of the matt ones you have and i'll speak with my paint guy.
