Wanted XTR BR-M970 V-brakes

Hi,

I was wondering if anyone had a full set of these going spare. I bought a pair of M739s which are driving me mad with the rattling and the XTRs would suit the mechs I'm using. Hideous looking mechs but they work very well.
Cheers.

M

I do indeed, a really mint set, very low mileage as were on a garage queen STS I built that did around 30 miles max and they were new when fitted.

I've also got some NOS m970 STI shifter/brake levers if you want to go all m970.

Alright mate?

I'd love to go matchy matchy with the shifters and brakes but that sounds like more of an expense than I'm capable of at the moment. How much would you want for these pearly white brakes?

I'll grab some pics Friday, have a bit on but if I forget, feel free to remind me.

My life is pretty manic, my boss quit recently and I'm doing his and my job, so very busy. I should be able to sort some pics Saturday after a morning of kids football (my youngest has a game first thing and I manage an u14 team with a game after that if the weather doesn't ruin it.

That does sound like a lot. Having to deal with aggrieved parents if the team doesn't do what they want sounds stressful, never mind your work. Hope your youngest match went well.

I'm not really that bothered about the condition of the brakes (to an extent), I'm sure they're in great nick, its the price I was wondering about. I was hoping to avoid the prices I've seen on eBay but I appreciate yours are as clean as a whistle.

I forgot fireworks night too.

Thankfully my youngest game went ahead, a nice 5-0 win in the cup. My u14s was cancelled. I'm lucky that my teams parents are dlk decent folk, not like some I see on the sidelines which I'm thankful I don't have to deal with.

Yikes, just seen some of the prices on eBay. I'm sure I could beat them by a bit. I was thinking £120.

Ooft, five nil. Well done for the home team. I've seen some ridiculous videos of disgruntled parents of players throwing fists about when they lost so I'm glad you don't encounter that nonsense.

I'd kinda figured you might say at least £120 if they're as unused as you've stated. I was hoping to pay about the £100 mark but I appreciate these are very fancy and most importantly don't rattle about like my XT M739s are prone to do. As I said, I'm in rush so if you get the time in the next couple of days to put some pictures up then I'll have a look. I'll most likely pay that after some apprehensiveness.

Here's some pics. There are 2 sets, one has the OG pads and holders, the other some KOOL stop pads and holders. Both sets are mint, both were new when fitted to builds. My sts did very few miles, all casual on roads only (shameful I know), the other were on my dbr axis tt very briefly when I first built it in full m970, but I rebuilt it with a bit of anno bling via some pauls v brakes which if I'm honest, look great but are a faff to keep adjusted and aren't as good in the braking department.

As mentioned, I do also have matching levers (a mint used set and a set of nos, boxed and also some nos, boxed sti brifters
