Love those bikes. I used to sell them and would have one anyday (wouldn't touch a modern carbon) but these are great, never had any problems with them. Yours looks very very clean.

Thanks for the positive comments...did you have many returns/faults with them when you sold them? My only experience of carbon bikes was a modern one which didn't last!

We sold, Giant Cadex and those Specialised. Never had an issue. Sold lots of bonded frames such as TVT, Vitus and Alan. Had a Vitus and TVT joint break a few times but some cunning workshop tricks and some araldite sort them. I rode a fixed Vitus for years. The guy who broke the vitus bought an Allez Epic to replace it. He was a hard rider who never did any maintenance and it took everything he threw at it. The only thing that occasionally lets them down is the alu lugs tarnish sometimes.

Thanks for that reassurance! Puts my mind at rest, although it is old carbon... Fortunately the Alu looks nice a clean...according to the seller it has been a fair weather summer bike not a winter wet one! :D

yeah retro carbon fibre bikes i really like. i read that these were made by giant for specialised. the geometry
looks steeper than the cadex though more closer to some peugeot's .
nice

carbon weave and bare alloy lugs, quill stem and horizontal t tube, i like all these things.
Question; are the seat and chain stays carbon also?
