hmmm, when I lived in Torquay all the aluminium framed double glazing fell to bits because of the salt in the air...

need to swat up on my chemistry!

Put the bike in a big plastic bag, throw in some cat litter* (you can use small cotten bags to contain it), suck out all the air you can with a vacuum cleaner, zip tie the bag up to close it.

It's an old trick we do to protect industrial electronics in 19" steel cabinets. Works in cold damp or hot humid conditions.

* recommend new, not covered in poo because it will make your saddle smell eventually

Holy crap batman there is a very big difference to salt in the air by the sea-side and tons of the stuff too

Do you have power in your shed? If so a electrical tube heater is just the job.Uses very little power.Also consider linning shed with slabs of polystyrene{cheap from a builers yard}.add old sheets of hardboard or such like over it.
