Considering one as a run-about, something "retro-cool"...might be an idea if it was practical-ish for popping bikes n stuff in.

£2-£3k ideally maybe up to 5k

E30 3 series?...Golf VR6?

Ideas/suggestions please :)

Cheers

I've just bought a '97 Merc E300 Turbodiesel as a knock about bike hauler etc... and it's just done 1,300 miles around wales without fault, love it.

I had one of those in blue, I used mine for work and covered 35,000 miles between MOT's last year and it didnt need anything more than tyres and a bit of oil now and again. Plus the saloon version is ridiculously fast for indirect injection 6 cylinder diesel

old Jap v6 stuff is fun

V6 passat?

vectra v6?

e class 430 v8?

Lexus?

Re:

E30's are quite small for an estate, good suggestions above, not retro yet but the passat W8 is a fine car & they're gonna start picking up in value before too long. Citroen Xm is uber comfortable & qiute different.

I looked at the w8, but pries seemed to be above 6k?

yes - 'R'

not bad for mk2 Mondeo underpinnings.

Just dont buy the X-type anything no matter how tempting - they are rusting away really badly
