In the days when record shops existed I'd be able to flick through hundreds and pull out ones I'd like based on labels, stickers, font styles, stamps, dates, catalogue numbers, matrix numbers, run out etchings etc etc. Also knowing the catalogue number of pretty much every hardcore vinyl I have, which is lots.
