Dead Rats Gold Trader Feedback View Oct 12, 2012 #1 Been asked before I know, but what chain do you guys recommend for use on non-indexed 5/10 and 6/12 speed drivetrains? Looking for budget options, as well as more luxury / period correct ones. Cheers, Al

Do you need a different chain? Click to expand... that KMC one would be fine, though I'd spend a couple more £ and get the silver one as it's prettier

bm0p700f Senior Retro Guru Feedback View Oct 13, 2012 #7 I use a KMC Z82 on 5, 6 and 7 speed drivetrains. Works a harm and is silver so looks good. I have one on my Campag 12 speed drive train it's fine. There is lots of choice.
