It's just that they are descrbed as 100% genuine NOS Weinmann hoods, which I am not sure they are.Shaun

Hmmm! The seller does have a few sets and the hoods do have a tatty unfinished edge, so could be replica's but as you says described as NOS.

Now were have I seen those three letters before :facepalm:

Is it really that hard to make hoods ? I suspect you'd need to start with a wood master ? then an outer mould ? clamped up, then what ever the stuff is poured in...
