Trek 9800 OCLV 93 "weightweenies project"

It could be lighter still without spending a huge amount more. American Classic micro front hub, Crank Bros cobalt headset, Ritchey WCS full carbon fork (i think there is one for sale here somewhere), a lighter compatible rear mech might be possible etc

yes it is always possible to go lighter, but i didn't want to spend too much money.
With an unmodified crossmax 1 rear wheel, it weighs 6,770 kg.
The handlebars are heavy , the saddle too, I can easily gain 80gr, but in kevlar I find it very beautiful.
I'm quite heavy too, I prefer not to weaken it too much 😉😅

Less than $1000 (bp)? This isn't a $1000 build for the average Retrobike shopper. Those are some top shelf parts. You must have found them for bargain basement prices, because this looks much more like a $2000+ build. Kudos for your savvy purchases, wish I could find such screamin' deals for a build like this!
