Re:

Moved over to road riding from mtbing and loving it!
Tonight's ride started in the East Yorkshire village of Welton and headed straight up the climb of Kidd lane and Beverley rd to Riplingham.
A lovely stretch of quiet country lanes rise and fall gently to Walkington a pretty village close to Beverley.
After a quick snack and chat we headed up more lovely lanes towards North Newbald where we were rewarded with the fantastic descent that is Trundlegate.
Across to Hotham next by which time we had lost the light so no more photos.
North Cave, South Cave, Ellerker and Brantingham are passed through before the final climb back over to the cars at Welton.
Only 24 miles but a great way to unwind after a stressful day at work.

Re:

Welcome to roadie life Chris!

I find it better for fitness than mtb, just don’t lose your off road skills by doing road exclusively.
I always have a light on the back of my bike when on the road, even in summer. In dappled light, it’s so easy to not be seen by others on the road. Just trying to help. ;)
